Experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist needed to handle California Workers' Compensation Claims of moderate to high value and complexity to prompt and equitable conclusions. Investigates California Workers' Compensation Claims and determines applicable coverage and liability. Documents claim files in order to justify payment of final decision. Sets appropriate reserves within authority level. Serves as a mentor to less developed staff. Stays up to date and complies with special handling requirements. Develops and maintains positive customer relationships; anticipates customer needs and monitors trends in order to recommend changes.


8 or more years experience handling claims

5 or more years Workers' Compensation claims handling in recent or/current role

Experience should include commercial insurance litigated caseload

Knowledge of California laws and regulations needed

MUST have experience handling claims in California and/or Arizona

PC literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
