We have an opening in our workers’ compensation claims department for a Claims Examiner II.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under general supervision, performs a variety of professional duties including reviewing, examining, investigating, and analyzing workers’ compensation claims; manages cases to optimize medical recovery and indemnity resolution; communicates with medical providers, employees, and employers.

QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.

An associate’s degree in workers’ compensation, insurance, business, or a related field is desirable.

Two years of experience as a workers’ compensation examiner.

Experience with adjusting indemnity and litigated claims.

Prior experience with administrating claims for public school districts is desirable.

Possession of a Self-Insurance Plans (SIP) certificate from the State of California or willingness to commit to securing a SIP certificate within one year from date of hire.

Documentation showing you have maintained the required post designation training requirements pursuant to California Code of Regulations, Title 10, Section 2592.02.

Possession of a valid driver’s license.
