Job Summary:

Join our dynamic WC Defense Firm specializing in workers’ compensation seeking a defense attorney to join its growing team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on workers’ compensation cases.

• Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and appeals.

• Collaborate with clients, gather relevant case information, and provide clear and concise legal advice.

• Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations, representing clients in a professional and ethical manner.

• Negotiate settlements and informal settlement conferences.

• Stay updated on changes in workers’ compensation laws, regulations, and legal precedents.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.

• Prior experience in workers’ compensation law.

• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.

• Demonstrated commitment to client advocacy and ethical legal practice.
